Mark Twain said “The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer someone else up.”

I live by this principle when I’m having a bad F’en day. I have been known to call people up randomly and say nice things. I usually pick people I’m not happy with,  just because I love a challenge, it is a challenge with some of my better frenemies to find something nice to say about them when I’m already pissed.

At that moment, when life seems really hard, my job sucks, I have on bad shoes, my romance is on the rocks, and I talked to my mother that day—I do something nice for someone . See, if you are having a bad day and you can still produce a random act of kindness all is not lost. There is hope because you have the kind of character that will pull us through the bad days. Giving always makes a day better. Try it next time you’re feeling down!

The best part about this is that it only takes a minute say say something nice, but that one minute will make someone’s day (or week, or month!).

Oh- and it’s been that kind of week so you might get a call. Then you’ll wonder whether you’re on the friend or frenemies list! LOL!
